Feasibility
Study/Campaign
Concord Hospital,
Concord, Concord, NH
$7.5 million goal / $10.5 million raised
Few hospitals of
this size can boast of the range of
comprehensive services as Concord Hospital. A
missing piece was comprehensive cancer services.
DSG was hired to conduct a study and provide
campaign consultation to raise $7.5 million. The
campaign surpassed its original goal less than
9-months after the launch, and the goal was
increased to $10 million. The hospital was
successful in soliciting a $500,000 Kresge
Challenge grant. Concord Hospital has engaged
DSG again to conduct a feasibility study for a
$10 million Family Health Center which is it at
the core of its mission of providing health care
to all.

Cranberry Heritage
Center/Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association, Wareham, MA Campaign Feasibility Study
The Cape Cod
Cranberry Growers’ Association (CCCGA),
established in 1888, is one of the oldest farmer
organizations in the country. During the last
few years, a special planning team, comprised of
board members of the CCCGA, conducted a careful
and deliberate planning process to consider the
merits of building a “Cranberry Heritage
Center.” DSG developed the case for support to
test in the feasibility study and worked to
articulate the organization’s mission with its
unique constituencies of growers, a consortium
of corporate suppliers, processors, distributors
and multi-generational farming families. The
case expressed how the Center would impact the
region, tourism, economics and the heritage
preservation of its primary constituencies. DSG
served as advocates during key feasibility study
interviews, uncovering and leveraging support
that could ultimately decide the viability of
the project.

Orange Regional Medical
Center, Middletown, NY

ORMC was stalled in mid-campaign toward a
$21-million goal to construct the first new
hospital to be built in New York State in over

Providence Children’s
Museum, Providence, RI
Strategic Planning Services/Campaign Counsel
Since moving to
Providence in 1997 and tripling its square
footage, budget and audience, the
Providence Children’s Museum (PCM) has continued
to grow, serving ever more families in
need, creating innovative exhibits and
responsive programs and cementing its reputation
in

nationally as an authority in child development
and children’s learning, PCM recognized that it,
like the children it serves, must continue to
learn and grow. Museum leadership organized a
$4.5 million Play Works Campaign, seeking $1.5
million for capital projects, $2 million for an
Endowment Fund and $1 million for a Eureka Fund
for special projects. In the midst of difficult

Center set a goal of $8 million to purchase the
Haskins building, construct the performance
center, and create an endowment to support the
maintenance of the building and offset operating
costs. DSG conducted the feasibility study
working closely with volunteer leadership to
